as i was sitting there and listening to him pray, the sun come out from behind the trees. i could feel the sun warming my face. so with my eyes closed i look up in the direction of the sun and let it radiate on my face. while enjoying the sun i got to thinking about our talk about God's love. i started thinking about the way God's love radiates to us, much like the sun on my face. this lead me to thinking about the moon as well. how it reflect the suns light to us in the dark night sky. and i compared that to our own lives, how we are to reflect the love of God with our lives. how we are the representation of Christ to the those that are in the dark.
when we finished praying i told my friend about what i was thinking. he inspired (and challenged) me to write my thoughts down, not just the details but how it might make a good song, so i did. i have never written a song before, so i spent a few hours working on it. then this last saturday we sat down together and put music to it and did some fine tuning. so here is the finished product.
